Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey (WMTR - Gruppo Utenti della Comunità di Wikimedia in Turchia) (tr: Wikimedia Topluluğu Kullanıcı Grubu Türkiye) è un gruppo formato da membri della Community Wikimediana Turca che partecipano attivamente alla Wikipedia in turco e ai suoi progetti fratelli, così come ad altri progetti Wikimedia tipo Commons, Meta-Wiki, Outreach, Wikidata, etc. Inoltre, la maggior parte degli attuali membri del gruppo utenti sono stati Wikimediani attivi per diversi anni e alcuni di essi hanno partecipato a conferenze ed eventi all'estro, rappresentando la comunità dei Wikimediani turchi e partecipando attivamente a diversi eventi in università di tutta la Turchia, con presentazioni e workshop mirati a raggiungere studenti e giovani allo scopo di introdurre Wikimedia e i suoi progetti a un nuova gente, arruolando così nuova gente potenzialmente utile alla comunità.

All'interno del gruppo per comunicare usiamo la lingua turca. Comunque l'inglese è la lingua usata dal gruppo per i rapporti con Wikimedia Foundation e gli altri gruppi e comunità affini.

We use the name Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey and plan to call our future chapter Wikimedia Turkey. We will use the abbreviation WMTR for both organisations.
