Tato žádost podporuje WikiProjekt Chráněná území

Předmětem žádosti je získat finanční prostředky na tisk pexesa s tématikou chráněných území podporující WikiProjekt Chráněná území. Současně zbyde na tisknutélném archu malé místo, kde plánujeme vyrobit vystřihovací hru pro děti možnou rozdávat samostatně. Samotné pexeso bude složeno ze 32 párů fotografií, které bude vytištěno na několik karet, první stránka umožňuje vložení textu. Text bude zaměřen na popularizaci Wikipedie, konkrétně WikiProjektu Chráněných území. Obrázky by měly být tématicky spojeny s tímto textem.

Výsledkem bude i volně stažitelný PDF soubor umístěný na Wikimedia Commons.

Téma[edit]

Požadavky[edit]

  • odhaduji tisk 1000 ks při celkových maximálních nákladech ca 20 000 Kč (15 000 Kč tisk, 3000 Kč grafik (pokud neseženeme grafika na Wikipedii, co to udělá zadarmo, v tom případě by tato částka odpadla) + případná rezerva). V případě, že se podaří zajistit levnější tisk, bude požadována nižší částka.
  • Upřesnění - tisk 1000 ks při celkových nákladech 8,6 Kč + DPH na ks, tedy celkem 10 320 Kč
  • tisk na tvrdý, kvalitní papír (250 g/m2), který se následně leskle nalakuje.

Co je potřeba udělat ?[edit]

  • vybrat fotky na kartičky hotovo
  • najít grafika (Gumruch se na srazu hlásil, že by se do toho případně vložil...) hotovo
  • vybrat vhodnou tiskárnu (zjistit rozsah nákladů a najít nejlevnější s ohledem na kvalitu) - v běhu
    • obeslána trojice pražských tiskáren pro návrh kalkulace ceny

Aktualizace - 6. 12. 2011 bude posláno do tisku hotový návrh. Hotový pexeso bude do 14. 12. 2011 dodáno tiskárnou.

Rozměry[edit]

  • Bude se tisknout na formát B3 (500 x 350 mm, nicméně tisknutelný formát bude 450 x 310 mm). Přeloží se na polovičku, vziknou dvě části. Každá rozměrově 22,5 x 31 cm. Na první bude text (5 x 22,5 cm) a zbytek kartičky (26 x 22,5 cm). Druhá deska budou jen kartičky. Velikost jednoho hracího políčka bude ca 4,45 cm.

V rámci snížení ceny se odstoupilo od složitější varianty pexesa o více menších desek, včetně bonusové hry, jelikož dojde k naprostému využití prostoru.

K čemu to?[edit]

Pexeso bude sloužit jako upomínkový předmět na stánku Wikipedie při různých výstavách a konferencích. Máme tak možnost darovat něco rodičům s dětmi a tím přitáhnout jejich pozornost k Wikipedii. (Děti doma budou stříhat pexeso, rodiče mají možnost si počíst o Wikipedii.). Taktéž plánujeme odměnit účastníky WikiProjektu Chráněná území tímto drobným dárkem a děkovným dopisem před Vánoci. Z toho vychází náš termín, že bychom rádi celou záležitost dokončili před Vánoci 2011.

Vyjádření oka[edit]

  • Předběžně OK. Chutě do toho. Poprosím pak o konečný rozpočet u konkrétní tiskárny atd. pro konečné vyjádření, ale předběžně nevěřím, že bych to pak neschválil, pokud se to bude držet výše nalinkovaných mantinel ;). Report[edit]

The plan was prepared and printed small game (memory game) for the children with accompanying text about cs:Wikipedie:WikiProjekt Chráněná území which is explaining project about protected areas (national parks, nature reserves...) and how to join Wikipedia. Our assumption is that parents will read the text during cutting of the paper game for children and maybe check Wikipedia pages about more details. Also, it is planning as small gift present for visitors of our exhibition in different opportunities and for everybody who will be interested in.

  • Printable version of game is freely accessible as PDF file on Commons for everybody (we also prepared English version, see PDF of the game with same data, however without printed version). This was made by user:Chmee2, user:Tlusťa, user:Utar and user:FHonza free of charge with help of consultation with Jusuf.
  • 8th of December printable version was sent to professional printing office after a survey of prices (price is 8.6 CZK + taxes per piece).
  • user:Chmee2 ordered 1000 pieces with price 10,320 CZK ~535 USD (ca price twice lower than previous assumption). No additional cost occurred.
  • 14th of December printing of the game was done and user:Chmee2 started with distribution.

Well. Distribution is fallowing. Firstly, I am leading Facebook fan page about Protected areas where I can "work" with people. I asked there if somebody wanted this game. I received several feedback from different parts of Czech Republic. I made several personal meeting in Prague and gave to interested copies of the game (some of them took more pieces and promised distribution in their surroundings, e.g. to the students from Agriculture university in Prague). Secondly I said to Wikipediands which I know that they are teachers. If they want, I give (or send by post at my own expense) them copies for students (ca 120 pieces to Prague and Ostrava). Teachers handed out at its discretion. As next, I will give game to students of Charles University which are cooperating with Protected areas Project (I made cooperation with one Faculty, here is preliminary report made by user:Juandev, however I will make detail evaluation and report after end of semester). I will also ask students if they know about somebody else who wants this game... I also wrote to cs.wikipedia that game is accessible for everybody. One user called me that he wants this game for one local cell of (political) Green party. In the true, I am using all possible channels how to distribute game to the public. I also used my friends and people in my work (one is for example member of tourist group)...
It is really hard measure somehow the impact of this activity, I guess. What or how to measure? If you have some idea, let me know. However, I had several comments from people, which saw the game. Everybody said that it is really nice and good work. Many people also said that is it good idea, but this is without some "measurement" impact. I think, that only one possibility is maybe wait if we will have more followers on Facebook/Google+ (but it can be also not the best way how to do it). Anyway, I believe that more important for us/Wikipedia is, that people will know about our Project and activity and that we have also something what can we use as small present for sponsors or people with we have some "negotiation".
My issue is distribute 1000 copies as fast as possible, because PDF is already existing and we can easily re-print more copies if Eye of P&O will release additional funds for it (or if not, I will find another sponsors for it). PS: How this was received? I am not sure if I understand right this question. However, Eye of P&O grant (2 members from 3) swiftly commented on the request after my email to them and they pre-approved my request with estimated price (20,000 CZK). They noticed that this price is maximum top for this project and that is better try to look some cheaper variant (which was also my goal, because 20,000 CZK was my first estimation based on price after one of my experience from my real work with another project). Later, I was in contact with Eye (user:Limojoe and user:Reo On) and I informed them about survey of prices and later that I found professional printing company for price 10,320 CZK per 1000 pieces with good recommendation (which is most important during printing that you can trust the company...). Work of PO Eye was without problem from my side of view. Acceptance in the community of Wikimedians was also good (I guess). Many people participated on this project and gave us lot of positive energy and feedback. I also used Facebook group Protected areas to discuss the game with people which are not connected with Wikipedia (and they are our targets...). So, let's say I made some "market research" if they liked it or not (and they also helped us find several mistakes) which was really interesting and important for the result. --Chmee2 21:24, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the detailed response! You're right it's difficult to measure, of course. That's why I was asking about reception -- I meant just anecdotal feedback from people who actually got the game.   3. I just only observed in small children (around seven or eight years old, that they were mostly fascinated by animals (they were flowed over their cuteness :)). Mother was surprised that something so nice is free of charge.. And otherwise generally very positive reaction (such that one would not sometimes say that someone can have so much joy out of memory game :), ..and even there was joke in the sense that "Wikipedia has already protected areas too" :) but I think that text is saying everything :) ). Personally, I am very thankful for this game, I really like its diversity - by 193.84.36.79 (Czech original version: Já jsem pozorovala akorát u mladších dětí (tak sedm, osm roků, že je nejvíce zaujala zvířátka (nad jejich roztomilostí se rozplývaly :)). Maminka byla překvapená z toho, že něco tak pěkného je zdarma.. A jinak celkově samé pozitivní reakce (jako že by člověk občas neřekl, že může mít někdo tolik radosti z pexesa :), ..no a i zazněl vtípek ve smyslu jako že prý "tak wikipedie už má i chráněná území" :), ale myslím že text mluví za vše :) ). Já osobně za pexeso velmi děkuji, hodně se mi líbí jeho rozmanitost.. I.)
  4. I received from Chmee2 ten pieces of the game and I distributed between members of political Green party in Milovice before Christmas. They enjoyed images, but mostly there appreciated (even if no one directly told), accompanying explanatory texts for the purpose of the project in general and Wikipedia.   5. I gave them about 10 in the family (small children everywhere I look) and circa 25 in one class on high school. I pointed out to pupils, that they do not take the memory game, if they just trough it out in next second. Despite the great interest occurred and I will be able distribute them much more in several other classes too and even for teachers too, which are several dozen too. Some of them know how to well photograph, eventually they teach about it, we have also arts classes. Žákům jsem zdůraznil, že si pexeso nemají brát, pokud ho jen hodili do koše za rohem. Přesto byl zájem velký a uživil bych jich výrazně víc v několika dalších třídách a třeba i pro kantory, kterých je také několik desítek. Někteří z nich umí výborně fotit, případně o tom přímo učí, máme i umělecké obory. Fotky i nápad se všem moc líbí, někteří rodiče mají dokonce tendenci pexeso chránit před dětmi. :-) Stejným stylem jako pexeso byste mohli vyrobit také kalendář, nástěnný anebo spíš stolní. Vzpomněl jsem si na to při pohledu na stolní astronomický kalendář (jedna fotka na 14 dní), který si každý rok kupuji jeden domů a druhý do práce.[reply]

    Napadlo mne, že vlastně taky znám člověka, který se živí tím, že skládá grafiku kalendářů, resp celé kalendáře. Cenu mi samozřejmě nemohl dát, když jsem mu zatím nemohl dát zadání, ale řekl, že když zeženeme jakoukoli komerční cenu kdekoli jinde za cokoli budeme chtít, že tedy pro nás to udělá za míň, tedy otázka, pokud budeme pomoc grafika chtít. (Dělal na živnosťák kalendáře firmám na zakázku). No, víc než že ho znám, takže bych se pak případně vyloučil z rozhodování, pro možný konflikt zájmů ;), ale mohu ho doporučit ;). Who got a memory game?[edit]

In the first round, we printed 1000 pieces.

  1. 50 pieces obtained one wikipedian for high school
  2. 70 pieces send by Chmee2 using post to one wikipedian for high school in Ostrava
  3. about 30 pieces university students which joined cooperation between WikiProject Protected areas and Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague (more detail about cooperation here)
  4. about 20 to students of Faculty of Environmental studies on the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague
  5. 10 pieces of volunteer club of tourist
  6. 10 pieces to Green party of Milovice
  7. about 65 pieces distributed on Wikimeeting to wikipedists
  8. 15 pieces distributed by wikipedian on high school
  9. 10 pieces students of "Book culture" (Knižní kultury)
  10. 20 pieces distributed to the students by wikipedian
  11. 10 pieces send by Chmee2 to Wikimedia Foundation for PR purposes
  12. 20 pieces send to one wikipedian in Brno
  13. 50 pieces to Masarykova basic school in Prague
  14. 100 pieces is on main office of our Chapter for emergency cases (as quick needs for sponsors, some conference and so)
  15. 10 pieces send to cs:České Budějovice to South Bohemian University
  16. 1 piece send by Chmee2 to Italy for one photographer which made image
  17. 2 pieces send to Swedish chapter to share/exchange ideas about propagation activity
  18. 100 pieces to the emergency base for wild animals which is making lectures about nature protection for wide population (circa for 7000 people per year...)
  19. 100 pieces to Czech Union for Nature Conservation as presents for their members and visitors
  20. 50 pieces to elementary school in Hluboká nad Vltavou
  21. 20 pieces to head of Wikimedia ČR as PR/present for journalists and sponsors
  22. 200 pieces Administration office of Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP)

Dotisk / reprint[edit]

Předmětem žádosti je dotisk 2000 ks pexes v tiskárně Brouček (pokud možno společně s letáky). Předchozí náklad 1000 ks vyšel na 10,320 CZK, předpokládám tedy, že 2000 ks vyjde na 20,640 CZK (nepromítlo se zvýšení DPH?). Nabízená cena u tiskárny Brouček je pro náklad 2000 ks 5,4Kč + DPH za kus, tedy 12 960 Kč za 2000 ks. Taktéž bych rád požádal o částku 1000 Kč na možnost proplácet poštovné, když rozesílám pexesa po republice či jako reklamu na pobočku do jiných zemí (minule USA, Itálie, Švédsko, Ostrava - hradil jsem ze svého).

Aim of this request is re-print of 2000 pieces of memory game in Brouček printing company (if possible together with flyer). We printed before 1000 pieces with price 10,320 CZK, I assumed that price will be now 2 times higher (20,640 CZK). The total price for 2000 pieces will be 12 960 Kč.   • Akceptuji, že u verze pexesa na commons z důvodů práv logo Wikimedie/Wikipedie mít nechcete, ale v tištěné verzi by dle mého názoru toto být mělo (konkétní výběr loga nechám na vás). Dále by bylo vhodné, aby se aspoň jednou v textu objevilo explicitně url Wikipedie. Podobně by mohl být odkaz na web sdružení ve zmínce o jejím grantu.
