Goal delivery
What is the affiliate mission? Mainly dedicated to preserving and documenting the Paiwan language, this work involves conducting fieldwork in Paiwan communities to collect linguistic data and build a Paiwan language corpus, which will serve as a foundation for future cross-disciplinary technological development.

Organizational development
How does the affiliate make decisions? How are decisions communicated? The Paiwan Wikimedians User Group primarily conducts discussions through online video calls and holds 1- to 2-hour consensus meetings on an irregular basis. The core team mainly consists of seven regular facilitators.

Affiliate health and resilience
How many people participate in the decision-making process in the affiliate? The Paiwan Wikimedians User Group currently has 12 online members, with 7 of them regularly participating in discussions. Each member has voting rights and takes part in the decision-making process.
Has there been any significant changes in the level of the affiliate membership body (e.g. increase/decrease of number of dues-paying members)? Currently, the organization has a total of 12 members who participate in activities related to the Paiwan Wikimedians User Group. In addition, there are 17 individuals who have expressed interest in participating. The number of participants continues to grow.
Are there any affiliate activities in the past year that were led by affiliate members? Please share the highlights. Regular online meetings, establishment of an office, ongoing campus promotions to recruit writers, transcription of language data, organization of reading groups, and campus collaboration projects.

Diversity balance (especially gender)
What is the diversity level of the affiliate leadership and membership body? The Paiwan Wikimedians User Group currently has a total of 12 members, including 3 women and 9 men. Additionally, among the 17 individuals who have expressed interest in participating in activities, 11 are women and 6 are men.
How is the affiliate leadership encouraging gender diversity in the decision-making process(es) of the affiliate? This user group continues to actively invite both male and female elders to participate in activities, gathering opinions and linguistic data from both genders. During meetings, the group also ensures that all members have the right to speak and are respected in the discussion process.
Universal Code of Conduct compliance
How does the affiliate leadership ensure, enforce, and evaluate compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct obligations? Currently, no evaluation regarding the implementation of the Universal Code of Conduct has been carried out. However, since the establishment of this user group, there have been no incidents of violations of the code. In the future, we plan to incorporate the code into the group's website and translate the content for members to reference and continue adhering to.

How many affiliate members are active organizers (of projects, events, conferences, initiatives, etc) within the Wikimedia movement? TBC
How many people have participated in affiliate projects, events, conferences, and/or initiatives in the past year? Up to now, the user group has sent representatives to attend the ESEAP Conference in Australia in 2022 and Wikimania in Singapore in 2023. In 2024, due to considerations of time and location, no members were able to attend related conferences or events.

Our user group collaborates with Indigenous communities through reading groups and participation in traditional ceremonies, promotes Wikimedia projects in schools via outreach and editing activities, and seeks opportunities to engage with other affiliates through conferences and large-scale events.
