What is the affiliate mission? The group's mission is to promote Wikimedia projects in Burkina Faso and to showcase the country's rich cultural and historical heritage on these different platforms.
What are the affiliate goals? Link to the strategic plan, if there is one. * Promote Wikimedia projects in Burkina Faso * Raise awareness of the need for free knowledge sharing * Recruit and train active contributors to produce content on Burkina Faso * Set up a team of contributor-developers to develop gadgets and solutions around Wikimedia projects specific to Burkina Faso * Promote and teach Wikipedia and its sister projects in Burkinabe schools and universities. * Organize events during which volunteers will add content such as contributionathons, WikiGap, Art+Feminism, WikiLoves Women, WikiLovesEarth, PhotoWalks, etc. * Collaborate with museums, libraries, and other public or private institutions to promote the rich cultural and historical heritage of Burkina Faso on Wikimedia projects
Organizational development
How does the affiliate make decisions? How are decisions communicated? The process of formalizing our user group into a non-profit association is underway. As for the management of the group and the steering of the various activities, decisions are made by a core of 5 active contributors after meetings and discussions.
What is the current state of the affiliate finances? Link to the latest financial report, if there is one. Our user group does not have any working capital at the moment. For some campaigns we ask for rapid grants to manage them..

How many people participate in the decision-making process in the affiliate? 5 people participate in decision-making. (EKokou, MossiMousso, KONATEYaya226, IdealCom and Séba79)
Has there been any significant changes in the level of the affiliate membership body (e.g. increase/decrease of number of dues-paying members)? We are near tirthy members
Are there any affiliate activities in the past year that were led by affiliate members? Please share the highlights. Our recent activities are: Organizations of the Wiki Loves Earth campaign for the second time, organization of WIKIREMA2024, a writing residency initiated by the group during the African musical meetings in Ouagadougou and the holding of the 5th edition of the WikiGap campaign.

Are there any trainings that affiliate leadership undergo before they assume their leadership position? Not really. We learned from other existing user groups and support from some experienced contributors.
Are there any requirements for affiliate leadership to disclose their conflict(s) of interests? Yes

What is the diversity level of the affiliate leadership and membership body? We have about ten women among us.
How is the affiliate leadership encouraging gender diversity in the decision-making process(es) of the affiliate? 77 / 5 000 Leadership in our user group is assumed by both men and women.

How does the affiliate leadership ensure, enforce, and evaluate compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct obligations? We do this during our training sessions and our campaign.
