What is the affiliate mission? Advancing and Promoting Kazakh Content and Topics on Wikimedia Platforms, as well as maintaining Wikimedia-wide projects in the area

How does the affiliate make decisions? How are decisions communicated? Most of decisions are made by group members on Telegram chat of our community.

Affiliate health and resilience
How many people participate in the decision-making process in the affiliate? Around 10 most active users with suggestions coming from 2-3 (and no objections coming from other members so far))
Has there been any significant changes in the level of the affiliate membership body (e.g. increase/decrease of number of dues-paying members)? Relatively same number of applicants, many participants joining but only some of them being active

Leadership and inclusion
Diverse, skilled, and accountable leadership
What kind of skills does the affiliate leadership possess? Communication, accounting, event organizing, skills training, recruiting new members.
Is there any kind of succession plan for the affiliate leadership? Yes
Are there any trainings that affiliate leadership undergo before they assume their leadership position? In 2024, our leadership members did not receive training, but we plan to provide it in 2025.
Are there any requirements for affiliate leadership to disclose their conflict(s) of interests? No
Diversity balance (especially gender)
What is the diversity level of the affiliate leadership and membership body? We currently have few active female participants in our group (one is a senior and an admin), but we are working on addressing the gender gap within our affiliation.
How is the affiliate leadership encouraging gender diversity in the decision-making process(es) of the affiliate? We include above mentioned female participant in our discussions and currently we don't have any disagreements

How does the affiliate leadership ensure, enforce, and evaluate compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct obligations? Our policies are in compliance with UCoC

Community connection
How many affiliate members are active contributors to the Wikimedia projects? In Kazakh Wikipedia (our main active project) we have at least 50 active participants monthly, out of which 15 participants make more than 100 edits monthly, we also have 1 active member in Kazakh Wiktionary, and we have around 10 people engaging in WLE and CEE WikiSpring events
How many affiliate members are not active contributors to the Wikimedia projects? List of non-active users vary throughout the year. We are currently working on increasing the number of regularly active members (though it is enough for now to maintain our main projects)
How many affiliate members are active organizers (of projects, events, conferences, initiatives, etc) within the Wikimedia movement? 6-10 members are actively involved in organizing projects and events.
How many people have participated in affiliate projects, events, conferences, and/or initiatives in the past year? More than 100 people participated in our events.
