| What is the affiliate mission? | The main mission of the Wikimedians of Tamazight User Group is to promote and support the creation, development, and dissemination of free knowledge in the Tamazight language and about Tamazight culture across Wikimedia projects. | |
| What are the affiliate goals? Link to the strategic plan, if there is one. | The goals of the Wikimedians of Tamazight User Group are centered on the promotion and preservation of the Tamazight language and culture through Wikimedia projects. The group aims to increase the quantity and quality of Tamazight content across platforms such as Wikipedia, Wiktionary, and Wikimedia Commons. It supports contributors who write and edit in Tamazight and encourages community participation through workshops, edit-a-thons, and outreach events. The user group also seeks to collaborate with educational and cultural institutions to enhance content creation and visibility. A key objective is to promote the use of Tamazight in digital spaces and foster a sustainable, active community of Tamazight-speaking Wikimedians. Additionally, the group advocates for language diversity within the Wikimedia movement and contributes to the development of tools and resources—such as keyboards and orthographic guidelines—that facilitate editing in Tamazight. Through these efforts, the group actively participates in global Wikimedia initiatives while representing the Tamazight voice and perspective. | |
