Goal delivery
What is the affiliate mission? Raising awareness of the Wikimedia movement and free knowledge culture among Hong Kong citizens; Supporting Hong Kong Wikimedian communities in contributing to the Wikimedia Movement, including but not limited to English, Chinese, Cantonese and other Wikimedia projects.
What are the affiliate goals? Link to the strategic plan, if there is one. We aim to cooperate with external stakeholders, including universities, NGOs, and art institutions, to facilitate the exchange of academic knowledge and cultural heritage through Wikimedia projects in Hong Kong. Moreover, we aim to cooperate with the Wikimedia Foundation and its affiliates, as well as Wikimedia communities, to further the goals of the Wikimedia movement and enrich Wikimedia projects.

How does the affiliate make decisions? How are decisions communicated? By directors.
What is the current state of the affiliate finances? Link to the latest financial report, if there is one. N/A
Affiliate health and resilience
How many people participate in the decision-making process in the affiliate? Mainly by directors.
Has there been any significant changes in the level of the affiliate membership body (e.g. increase/decrease of number of dues-paying members)? Stable. We have 37 members currently.
Are there any affiliate activities in the past year that were led by affiliate members? Please share the highlights. We co-host edit-a-thons with Asia Art Archive and M+ museum twice a year. Moreover, we have continued to support Wiki Education project in Hong Kong by the Centre for Applied English Studies at Hong Kong University.
Leadership and inclusion
Diverse, skilled, and accountable leadership
What kind of skills does the affiliate leadership possess? Communication, Project management, partnership and advocacy
Is there any kind of succession plan for the affiliate leadership? We will host the election bi-annually.
Are there any trainings that affiliate leadership undergo before they assume their leadership position? None.
Are there any requirements for affiliate leadership to disclose their conflict(s) of interests? We will ask directors to voluntarily disclose their conflicts of interest.
Diversity balance (especially gender)
What is the diversity level of the affiliate leadership and membership body? Residents of Hong Kong are welcome to join the user group, regardless of their race and gender. We also consider membership from people who have connections with Hong Kong.
How is the affiliate leadership encouraging gender diversity in the decision-making process(es) of the affiliate? We welcome anyone to participate in our decision-making process, including the voting of major decisions and the election of directors.
Universal Code of Conduct compliance
How does the affiliate leadership ensure, enforce, and evaluate compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct obligations? We have a Safe Space policy to ensure a welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone. We will also remove members or decline membership applications if they cannot adhere to the UCoC, Safe Space policy, or local on-wiki policies.
Engagement and Collaboration
Please share the publicly available records of regular meetings, activities, events, or conference in the past year where the affiliate has participated. Director User:Borschts attended Wikimania 2025 and The ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025. He is also the Community Connector of the ESEAP Hub, an Ambassador of the Wikipedia Asian Month User Group, and a member of the ESEAP Conference 2026 Scholarship Committee.
User:SCP-2000 is the member of steering committee of the Wikipedia Asian Month User Group.

Partnerships and collaboration
Please list all activities/initiatives that the affiliate has organized or co-organized in past 12 months. Co-host with M+ & AAA edit-a-thons. Support HKU education project. Partnership with the The Women's Foundation to host the workshop in next year.
Furthermore, we have received some partnership inquiries from NGOs and art institutions, and we plan to contact universities to further develop our education project. However, due to our limited capacity (stemming from a lack of staff support) and the lack of formal registration of our user group in Hong Kong, we are unable to further pursue connections with these organizations.
