Goal delivery
What is the affiliate mission? To promote the creation and sharing of free knowledge through an open and accessible encyclopedia. We focus on Namibian cultural heritage , history, and content , aiming to effectively share this information with the broader public.
What are the affiliate goals? Link to the strategic plan, if there is one. Our goals are to create awareness for Wikimedia and its projects and thus bring new volunteers on board, and help them to understand the benefits of Wikimedia in our country. We also want to improve and add contents to Wikimedia projects. We currently working toward having a strategic plan.
Organizational development
How does the affiliate make decisions? How are decisions communicated? We have established a Task Team that gathers inputs from all User Group members before any decision is taken. The Task Team will then deliberate on the inputs of all members, evaluate, and execute the decisions of our User Group. For now, the Task Team is interim in the decision making until the Board is Instituted and constituted.
What is the current state of the affiliate finances? Link to the latest financial report, if there is one. During the period under review, Our User Group has not received any financial support. The User Group rely on the Rapid Funding that some of our User Group members secured, we also depends on resources that our members and partners put at our disposal. These has enable us to carry out the projects and campaigns

What kind of skills does the affiliate leadership possess? Mentorship skills, Communication skills, Networking skills, Administration Skills, Digital Literacy Skills
Is there any kind of succession plan for the affiliate leadership? Yes
Are there any trainings that affiliate leadership undergo before they assume their leadership position? The only trainings that leaders received are the workshops by AfLIA and several Occasional Leadership Trainings by Wikimedia South Africa Chapter. Most of our leaders have not received any training in their area of responsibilities. We however share with them capacity building opportunities that Wikimedia provides in areas such as Women empowerment.
Are there any requirements for affiliate leadership to disclose their conflict(s) of interests? Yes
Diversity balance (especially gender)
What is the diversity level of the affiliate leadership and membership body? Our leadership is 33% Women and 67% men
How is the affiliate leadership encouraging gender diversity in the decision-making process(es) of the affiliate? Our User Group leadership is comprised of 6 members of which four a men and two are women, thus women are always given favourable opportunities to share their viewpoint on any decision to be taken
Universal Code of Conduct compliance
How does the affiliate leadership ensure, enforce, and evaluate compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct obligations? Our new members are provided with face to face and online sessions with the aim of educating to conduct themselves in a manner that show respect to others, to have empathy and conduct themselves in an ethical manner. All these sessions are in line with the Universal Code of Conducts.
