The affiliate organizations will vote in this election in July to shortlist six candidates from the candidate pool. Each affiliate organization will be allowed one vote. This vote will be using the Single Transferable Vote method. Affiliate organizations should discuss the candidates the affiliate organization would like to select. Candidates should be ranked in order of preference.
To assist with this selection process, an Analysis Committee will be formed.
- For regional distribution of the Affiliates and facilitators who will be supporting it, see Affiliates regional distribution for the Analysis Committee
The Analysis Committee is formed from the affiliates during late April and May. The Analysis Committee is composed of 9 representatives of affiliates (including all chapters, user groups, and thematic groups) from regions across the movement. One each from:
- CEE (Central & Eastern Europe);
- ESEAP (East and Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region);
- Sub-Saharan Africa;
- Latin America and the Caribbean;
- MENA (Middle East and North Africa);
- North America (USA and Canada);
- Northern and Western Europe;
- South Asia;
- plus one for thematic affiliates.
The Analysis Committee evaluates the candidates against the skills and diversity, equity and inclusion criteria shared by the Board of Trustees. The Analysis Committee will use the statements the candidates answer on their application to rate the candidates. The Analysis Committee will rate candidates with a gold/silver/bronze framework. This rating will be used to provide input to the affiliate organizations when they plan their vote. The details of the evaluation of each candidate will not be shared.
After the six candidates have been selected during the affiliate organization voting process, the ratings of each selected candidate will be published to inform the community vote. This process aims to find the best balance between sharing useful information and minimizing unnecessary exposure of candidates.
Procedure for determining the committee member
Each region will appoint 1 committee member in a transparent affiliate selecting process to form a 9 member Analysis Committee. Each region decides their preferred selection method.Please try to decide on the region's committee member by 15 May 2022.
Similar to a previous regional process, the procedure should be defined by the affiliates in the table below.

|Wikimedia South Africa||Aboubacarkhoraa (Aboubacarkhoraa)||We nominate Aboubacarkhoraa based on the outreach work he is doing in his home country of Conakry Guinea, he's also relatively new on Wiki, having made his first edit in 2018, but his edit count on several Wiki-projects is impressive for a new user. Although we are not sure of how much he understands the African community, its agenda and politics. However, his activities on Meta tells us he is a good fit and we need to give him a chance.|
