Wikimedia Foundation elections/2025/Results

Elected

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees vote. The Elections Committee can now certify that the following two candidates received the most support:

1. Bobby Shabangu (Bobbyshabangu)
2. Michał Buczyński (Aegis Maelstrom)

The new trustees will be appointed at the next Board meeting in December 2025. Thanks to all candidates for their participation.

In each round of calculation, the candidate(s) who achieved more votes than the quota are declared elected. Their surplus votes above the quota are redistributed to the remaining candidates. If nobody achieves the quota, the lowest ranking candidate is eliminated and their votes are redistributed to the remaining candidates.
