२०११ को न्यासी मंडल (बोर्ड अफ ट्रस्टीज) को चुनाव २९ मे देखि १२ जून २०११ को बीच आयोजित गरिनेछ। विकीमीडिया समुदाय का सदस्यहरु लाइ तीन उम्मेदवारहरुको चुनाव गर्न हुनेछ जसको कार्यकाल दुइ वर्ष को लागि हुनेछ र २०१३ मा समाप्त हुनेछ। बोर्ड अफ ट्रस्टीज, विकीमीडिया फाउन्डेशन को अन्तिम नियन्त्रक प्राधिकारी हो र, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका मा पंजीकृत एक 501(c)(3) अलाभकारी संगठन हो। विकीमीडिया फाउन्डेशन सहोदरी परियोजनाहरु जस्तै मुख्य पृष्ठ र कमन्स लाई प्रबन्धन गर्दछ।

चुनाव एक स्वतंत्र तृतीय पक्ष ले सम्बन्धित सर्भर मा सुरक्षित रूप ले आयोजित गरिनेछ जनहित मा सफ्टवेयर। भोट गुप्त हुनेछ र केवल सिमित मान्छेहरुले मात्र हेर्न पाउनेछन् जसले चुनाव को लेखा परीक्षा र मतगणना को कार्य गर्नेछन्। मतदाताले आफ्नो भोट हाल्ने बेलामा उम्मेदवारहरुलाई आफ्नो वरीयता क्रम अनुसार नम्बर दिनेछन्। मतहरुको गणना मा शुल्ज विधि को प्रयोग गरिनेछ, जुन उम्मेदवारहरुलाई कुल प्राप्त भोटहरु को आधार मा वरीयता क्रम मा प्रस्तुत गर्नेछ।

चुनाव समिति चुनाव परिणामहरु को घोषणा १५ जून या यो भन्दा पहिले गरिने विश्वास गरिएको छ।विस्तृत परिणाम यस पृष्ठ मा सबै समय ००:०० (मध्यरात्रि) UTC देखि उपलब्ध हुनेछ।

आवश्यकताहरु

लेखकहरु

तपाँइ आफ्नो विकीमीडिया विकी को कुनै एक पंजीकृत खाता बाट भोट हाल्न सक्नुहुन्छ (तपाँइ खालि एक भोट हाल्न सक्नुहुन्छ, चाहें तपाइ को एक भन्दा बढि खाता नै किन सक्रिय नहोस)। भोट हाल्न को लागि तपाइको खातामा निम्न लिखित शर्तहरु पूरा भएको हुनुपर्नेछ:

• यो ब्लक भएको हुनु हुँदैन; र
• यो एक बोट en:bot हुनु हुँदैन; र
• १५ अप्रिल २०११ सम्म तपाइले आफ्नो सबै विकीमीडिया विकी खाताहरुमा कुल मिलाएर कम से कम ३०० संपादन गरेको हुनुपर्ने छ (विभिन्न विकी मा गरिएको संपादन जोड्न सकिन्छ यदि तपाइको खाता एकीकृत खाता बनाउनुहुन्छ भने); र
• १५ नोभेम्बर २०१० देखि १५ मे २०११ को बीच कम से कम २० संपादन गरेको हुनुपर्ने छ।

विशेष अपवाद: उपरोक्त आवश्यकताओं को बावजूद निम्नांकित भोट हाल्न सक्छन्:

• विकीमीडिया सर्भर प्रशासक जो संग सेल को पासवर्ड छ;
• विकीमीडिया फाउन्डेशन को त्यो वैतनिक कर्मचारी जसले आफ्नो सेवा १५ फरवरी २०११ भन्दा पहिले शुरु गरेको थियो;
• न्यासी मंडल को पूर्व र वर्तमान सदस्य।

डेभलपरहरु

डेभलपरहरुले पनि भोट दिन पाउँछन् यदि तिनीहरु:

• Are Wikimedia server administrators with shell access; or
• Have commit access and have made at least one commit between 15 May 2010 and 15 May 2011.

तत्कालीन तथा भूतपूर्व Board of Trustees र Advisory Board का व्यक्तिहरु पनि मत दिन को लागि योग्य छन्।

मतदान कसरी गर्ने

यदि तपाइ मत दिन योग्य हुनुहुन्छ भने:

1. candidate presentations पढ्नुहोस र पहिला निश्चित गर्नुहोस कि तपाइ कसलाइ चुन्न चाहनुहुन्छ।
2. "Special:Securepoll" पृष्ठ मा जानुहोस र छान्नुहोस जहाँ बाट तपाइ मत दिन योग्य हुनुहुन्छ। उदाहरण को लागि, यदि तपाइ सबै भन्दा अधिक meta.wikimedia.org मा सक्रिय हुनुहुन्छ भने meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Securepoll मा जानुहोस।

The Board of Trustees is the governing authority of the Wikimedia Foundation. Responsibilities of the Board include:

• determining mission, goals, long-term plans and high level policies of WMF and its projects
• selecting the Executive Director of the WMF, who oversees its day-to-day operations, and evaluating his or her performance
• ensuring the sustainability of the organization by defining a number of independent revenue sources
• communicating about the direction and the activities of the WMF to the community
• providing oversight to staff with regard to accounting, budgeting, and programs
• maintaining legal and ethical integrity
• recruiting and orient new trustees
• articulating the mission of the WMF in public

The responsibilities of the Board do not include:

• interfering in day-to-day operations, except in emergencies
• setting Wikimedia project-level editorial policies
• resolving basic community disputes
• volunteering in specific areas of regular WMF organizational work

Characteristics of effective trustees:

• Strategic – e.g., to provide long term direction
• Thoughtful – e.g., to avoid being reactionary to controversial issues
• High integrity – e.g., to put the interests of the foundation as a whole over personal or specific constituent interests
• Responsiveness – e.g., to email requests from other trustees
• Follow through – e.g., to complete tasks such as committee assignments as committed.
• Respectful – e.g., to listen carefully to other trustees' points-of-view even as they may differ from one's own
• Collaborative – e.g., to partner with other trustees and the Executive Director on the Board's work

उम्मेदवार हुन चाहिने आवश्यकताहरु

The eligibility requirements for candidates are the same as for voters (see above), with the following additional requirements:

• you must publicly disclose your real name in your candidate presentation (because the identities of Board members are a matter of public record, it is not possible to hold a position on the Board of Trustees anonymously or under a pseudonym); and
• be at least 18 years old and of legal age in your home country; and
• submit proof of your identity to the Wikimedia Foundation (see below).

आफ्नो उम्मेदवारी कसरि दर्ता गर्ने

If you are eligible, you can submit your candidacy by doing the following:

1. Write a brief summary of no more than 1200 characters stating what you would do if you were elected to the Board of Trustees, your relevant opinions and experience, and anything else you think is relevant. You may not use your candidate summary to link to lists of endorsements or other platform pages, and may not run on a slate with other candidates.
2. Submit your summary between 00:00, May 2^nd 2011 (UTC) and 23:59, May 22^nd 2011 (UTC). After May 22^nd, it cannot be changed except for minor corrections (for instance, spell correction) or translation. Any additions or changes to content submitted after this deadline will be time-stamped and presented separately from the original summary, and will only be presented to voters if they get translated into all of the same languages as the original summary. You should note that earlier submissions allow time for translation into more languages, and that submissions provided on the due date or just before may not be as widely translated.
3. Submit proof of your identity to the Wikimedia Foundation before May 22^nd. You will be privately contacted by a member of the Election Committee with further information about meeting this requirement when you list yourself as a candidate.

• ०५ अप्रिल–०२ मे २०११: प्राथमिक अनुवाद चरण; उपसमिति सक्रिय रूप ले सहयोग दिन र अनुवाद लाई बढ़ावा दिन को कार्य गर्नेछ।
• ०२–२२ मे २०११: उम्मेदवार प्रस्तुतिहरु जम्मा गर्नेछन्.
• २२ मे २०११: पहिचान को सबूत पठाउन लाइ अन्तिम समय सीमा (पछि प्राप्त या बेपत्ता प्रस्तुतिहरुलाई रद्ध गरिनेछ)
• २९ मे–१२ जून २०११: निर्वाचन।
• १३–१५ जून २०११: मत गणना।
• १५ जून २०११: नतिजा प्रकाशन ।
