Brief description of experiment: We want several wikis to agree to be "innovation wikis", in which they elect to have experimental features deployed in A/B tests without the usual discussion of each feature. This will allow Wikimedia Foundation product teams to rapidly discover which ideas work and which don’t, and then move on. The innovation wikis will be the first ones to adopt successful experiments, and will hopefully leap ahead in the quality of their user experience. This will demonstrate to other wikis what changes and improvements they can adopt. Communities and the Foundation could agree on specific boundaries for how to set up this arrangement.
Anticipated completion date: We are aiming for four communities to agree to be innovation wikis by April 2026.
