Membership of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria is open to everyone at the cost of N 2,000.

Governing body[edit]

All corporate powers shall be exercised by or under the authority of, and the business and affairs of Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation shall be managed under, the direction of the Board of Trustees either directly or through a written delegation of authority. The authorized number of Trustees of Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation shall be at least seven (7) and at most nine (9). Trustees are selected according to the process specified in Article IV, Section 3 of the organization's Bylaws. Each Trustee shall hold office until the expiration of his or her term as specified in Article IV, Section 3 of the Bylaws, or until his or her earlier resignation, removal from office, or death.

The board of trustees of the Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation Inc. is composed of three Community-selected Trustees and six board-appointed Trustees. The three Community-selected trustees were elected on the 25th of July 2018 by the community and the six board-appointed trustees were appointed on the 4th May 2019. Based on the provision of the Bylaws, the trustees organized a board election, and the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and a Treasurer were elected.
