Open Letter: Internet Regulation[edit]

Basics
  • in a nutshell: The Austrian federal government planned a new internet regulation act; we were concerned that overly rigid deadlines backed by sanctions, as well as unilateral threats of punishment, could endanger community-based moderation models such as Wikimedia projects. We therefore joined epicenter.works in an open letter to two Austrian federal ministers.
