#WikipediaVorOrt – Simultaneous open house events in Austria, Germany and Switzerland[edit]

Basics
  • in a nutshell: Wikimedia Austria, Germany, and Switzerland co-designed a common campaign for all three countries, promoting simultaneous local open house events in many cities across the region, where interested Wikipedia readers can meet our communities, and learn how Wikipedia & Co. work. The campaign was a major success - the events were packed with interested visitors from Hamburg, to Stuttgart, to Zurich. In Austria we hosted two afternoon events in Linz and Vienna with about 100 visitors in total and interested journalists from newspapers and radio.

CEE Meeting 2018 in Lviv[edit]

Wikipedia Workshop at Amnesty International Austria in Vienna 2018-10-20[edit]

  • in a nutshell: A workshop at the office of the Austrian section of Amnesty International to show volunteers how Wikipedia works and how to edit an create articles. On this occasion a reporter from dasbiber-magazine made interviews with participants and a representative of Amnesty International.
