Our Community
The Wikimedians of Kerala User Group is part of the global Wikimedia movement — a vibrant community of volunteers from Kerala who believe in open access to knowledge in all its forms. Our members actively participate in and contribute to Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, Wikifunctions, Wikivoyage, and other sister projects, enriching them with high-quality content, reliable data, and free media.
Although our focus is on Kerala, our members are spread across the world, connecting Malayalees everywhere through the mission of open knowledge. We regularly organise online and offline events, workshops, and campaigns for people in Kerala and for Malayali communities abroad, encouraging everyone to learn, share, and contribute.
Every edit, photo, or data entry helps expand access to knowledge. If you share this vision, we invite you to join us to learn, collaborate, and be part of the growing movement to make free knowledge accessible to all.

If you are passionate about language, culture, research, photography, data, or storytelling, there's a place for you here! You can contribute to Malayalam Wikipedia, enrich Wikidata with local information, upload photos to Commons, or help digitise books on Wikisource.
Joining is simple. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to learn. You'll get the chance to collaborate with others, attend community meetups, participate in edit-a-thons, and take part in exciting projects.
