Wikimedians of Kerala organized a 2 day Wikisource summit and a 2 day Wikisource data workshop at Kerala Sahithya Academy, Thrissur.
Wikisource Community Meetup 2025
[edit]Wikisource Community Meetup 2025 brings together contributors, partners, and enthusiasts from across South India to discuss, plan, and collaborate on the future of Wikisource and related Wikimedia projects. The event aims to introduce key topics, share community experiences, and develop a roadmap for strengthening collaborative initiatives. The event is a hybrid event and some participants joined online.
Wikisource Workshop
[edit]A hands-on training program for the general public, led by volunteers from the Wikisource community. The session explained the tools, workflows, and processes used in Malayalam Wikisource.
Wikisource Data Workshop 2025
[edit]An open data workshop focusing on connecting Wikisource more efficiently with Wikidata. Participants will explore data linking, metadata enrichment, and automation tools in Wikisource. Wikimedians of Kerala User Group organized this workshop in collaboration with Open Data Kerala, Wikidata India, KOHA Kerala Community, Tamil Wikisource community.
Wikisource Hackathon
[edit]A hackathon sprint focused on developing and improving tools related to Wikisource projects in Malayalam and Tamil was organized on 21st April 2025. Wikimedians of Kerala User Group organized this workshop in collaboration with Swathanthra Malayalam Computing and Free Software Users Group Thrissur.
