Wikimedians of Kerala UG organized a photowalk and workshop at Malamel tourism, Kollam on 12,13th April 2025. This event was focused on adding more photographs into Wikimedia commons and introduce Wikivoyage to the participants. Our goal is to boost participation and enrich existing pages with valuable content, as well as fill in any missing information. With the expert guidance from experienced people we're aiming to bring the Malayalam WikiVoyage to live.

Photowalk
[edit]We organized photowalk at 5 different places.
Amaramkavu, Kolani, Thodupuzha
[edit]Amaramkavu is the largest sacred grove in the Idukki district, Kerala. Amaramkavu has an area near to 3 acres and is rich in biodiversity.
Uravappara, Thodupuzha
[edit]Uravappara is a large rock formation situated in Olamattom near Thodupuzha in Idukki district. It is situated at a height of 500 ft (150 m) above mean sea level. Uravappara Temple is situated over the top of this rock formation. Three big boulders can be seen atop of the rocks and they are situated at one end of this formation. There is a pond in this area with clear water.
Malamel Eco Tourism
[edit]Malamel Para (Malamel Rock), is a hilltop located in the Pathanapuram Taluk of the Kollam district in Kerala. It is a cluster of massive hillocks and rocky terrains that offer acts as a bridge between the coastal plains and the high-altitude Western Ghats, harboring species rarely found elsewhere. The site is composed of several distinct hillocks like Kudappara, Golandarappara, Ayiravallippara etc.
Jatayu Earth's Center, Chadayamangalam
[edit]Jatayu Nature Park is a national park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala, India. It stands at an altitude of 350 m (1,150 ft) above mean sea level. To get to the top.
Vattathil Waterfalls, Kalladathanni
[edit]Vattathil Waterfall is a waterfall situated in Ithikkara River at Kalladathanni. The village of Ithikkara is located on the river, 15 km from the port of Kollam. In this waterfall the water flows to different steps and finaly landing in a flat plan.
