Mapping Heritage Trees of Chandigarh- July 2020is an event organised by Harvinder Chandigarh and Shabdeesh ,the members of the User Group Wikimedians of North India .The event was conducted mainly to take and preserve real time images Heritage Trees of Chandigarh.The Trees which are 100 years old were identified and put in a list of “heritage status” by UT (Union Territory) of Chandigarh. .

Objective[edit]

  • To create new content on Wikipedia .
  • To take images of Heritage Trees of Chandigarh and preserve them by uploading on Commons .
  • To enrich the existing content on Wikipedia by adding relevant images to it and other media to them.
  • To create awareness about Wikipedia among writers and readers..

Reference period[edit]

The event is scheduled to be organised in the month of July 2020.
