Wikimedians of Turkic Languages User Group – is a Wikimedia User Group created by active members of Wikimedia contributors who contribute and develop Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages. It aims to promote and participate in the projects offered by the Wikimedia Foundation and to organize the Turkic community. One of its core missions is to aid and encourage people to collect, develop and disseminate knowledge and other educational, cultural and historic content in the public domain or other licenses that allows everyone to freely use the knowledge, and to distribute and modify said content for free. Also, our main goal is to develop Wikimedia projects in Turkic languages, as well as to help and encourage Turkic-speaking users and communities.

Obiettivi

  • Promuovere la consapevolezza dei progetti Turkimedia Wikimedia;
  • Supportare e sviluppare le comunità turche;
  • Coinvolgere la comunità e aggiungere nuovi collaboratori per i progetti dell'User Group e Wikimedia;
  • Cooperare con altre istituzioni con missione e visione simili per promuovere la libera circolazione delle conoscenze nei paesi turchi;
  • Legalizzazione della FoP nei paesi turchi;
  • Aumentare i contenuto riguardanti le persone turche nella comunità.

Storia

La decisione di creare un gruppo di utenti delle lingue turche è stata presa durante una riunione a Wikimania 2019 a Stoccolma dagli utenti dei progetti Wikimedia che parlano le lingue turche. L'obiettivo principale di questo gruppo di utenti è la creazione di una piattaforma comune per gli utenti di Wikimedia per sviluppare progetti Wikimedia in lingue turche.
