A Wikimedia User Group that aims to support Wikimedia projects in all Arabic varieties, including the ones with limited written tradition such as Levantine Arabic, Egyptian, Moroccan, Mesopotamian Arabic, Algerian, and many other spoken varieties, as well as Modern Standard Arabic, which has a stronger written tradition.
Goals
[edit]- Promote the inclusion and support of all varieties or dialects of Arabic on Wikimedia projects.
- Build a strong and inclusive community of contributors.
- Organize events such as training sessions and Edith-a-thons to find and support new contributors.
- Sharing knowledge and providing mutual support to overcome challenges in projects involving low-resource languages.
