The EduWiki Hub's Open Educational Resources
[edit]Our mission is to build and share a valuable collection of Open Educational Resources (OER) for the Wikimedia and education community. We want to make it easier for educators and Wikimedians to find, use, and create materials that help them connect Wikipedia with learning.
Our approach focuses on organizing and curating content. We are categorizing our educational programs and mapping existing resources to them. Our goal is to publish at least two new resources every month, including lesson plans, multimedia tutorials, and guides that support education initiatives.
The Resource Curation and Development Working Group will coordinate this effort.

Using Wikis in Education: Guidelines for Teachers and Trainers This pedagogical handbook serves as a comprehensive guide for integrating wikis into education to foster essential 21st-century skills. It provides theoretical frameworks and practical scenarios for using wiki environments to promote collaborative learning, critical thinking, and digital literacy. The resource is designed to help educators move from traditional "top-down" teaching to a participatory "Open Pedagogy" model where students become active knowledge creators.
EnglishUses: Educators and corporate trainers can use these guidelines to design lesson plans that require students to co-construct knowledge, manage information collectively, and practice peer-to-peer feedback in a digital environment. Created by: The WikiSkills Project Using Generative AI Tools with Wikipedia This interactive training module is designed to guide students through the complexities of using artificial intelligence within the academic and Wikimedia environments. It provides a structured path to understanding how generative AI can support research, such as identifying content gaps or finding source access, while emphasizing the strict prohibition of AI-generated text or images. The module highlights the importance of "human-in-the-loop" verification to prevent hallucinations and ensure the integrity of open-access knowledge.
EnglishUses: Educators can assign this module as a prerequisite for Wikipedia editing assignments to establish clear ethical boundaries and classroom policies. It helps students develop critical thinking and digital ethics by teaching them to evaluate AI outputs against reliable secondary sources and adhere to community standards regarding authorship.
