Ο διαγωνισμός Σελίδες της Βικιπαίδειας που Χρειάζονται Φωτογραφίες (Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos, WPWP) είναι ετήσιος διαγωνισμός όπου Βικιπαιδιστές απ'όλα τα γλωσσικά εγχειρήματα και κοινότητες της Βικιπαίδειας προσθέτουν φωτογραφίες σε λήμματα της Βικιπαίδειας που έχουν έλλειψη φωτογραφικού υλικού. Αυτό γίνεται για να προωθήσει την χρήση ψηφιακών αρχείων που συλλέγονται από διάφορους διαγωνισμούς φωτογράφισης της Βικιπαίδειας, περιπάτους φωτογράφισης που διοργανώνει η κοινότητα Wikimedia, σε λήμματα της Βικιπαίδειας. Οι φωτογραφίες βοηθούν να προσελκυσθεί η προσοχή του χρήστη καλύτερα από ένα τοίχο κειμένου, να εικονογραφήσουν το περιεχόμενο ενός λήμματος, και να κάνουν το λήμμα πιο επεξηγηματικό και ενδιαφέρον για τους αναγνώστες.
Χιλιάδες εικόνες έχουν δωριστεί και προστεθεί στα Wikimedia Commons από διάφορα προγράμματα υπηστήριξης, περιπάτους φωτογράφισης, και διαγωνισμούς, συμπεριλαμβανομένων διεθνών διαγωνισμών όπως οι Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore κτλ. Ωστόσο σχετικά λίγες από αυτές οι φωτογραφίες έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί σε λήμματα της Βικιπαίδειας. Σήμερα, το Wikimedia Commons φιλοξενεί εκατομμύρια εικόνες, αλλά ένα πολύ μικρό ποσοστό αυτών χρησιμοποιούνται σε σελίδες της Βικιπαίδειας. Το εγχείρημα προσπαθεί να καλύψει αυτό το μεγάλο κενό.

How to participate
Before participating, it is important to read all rules below in their entirety. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Συνδεθείτε ή Δημιουργήστε νέο λογαριασμό στη Βικιπαίδεια (Μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε λογαριασμό σε οποιαδήποτε Βικιπαίδεια, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της μητρικής σας γλώσσας). Ο κατάλογος όλων των Βικιπαιδειών μπορεί να βρεθεί εδώ.
Αναζητήστε άρθρα που δεν έχουν εικόνες. Πατήστε εδώ για να αναζητήσετε τον τίτλο του λήμματος. Μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε την ειδική σελίδα "Τυχαίο λήμμα" για να κάνετε αναζήτηση.
Για να επιλέξετε το κατάλληλο αρχείο φωτογραφίας, κάντε κλικ εδώ, μετά κάντε κλικ εδώ για να αναζητήσετε την φωτογραφία που ψάχνετε χρησιμοποιώντας τον σωστό τίτλο. Ίσως θελήσετε να ψάξετε για φωτογραφίες σε μια κατηγορία (όπως για παράδειγμα εδώ).
Στη σελίδα του λήμματος, κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή "Επεξεργασία" και εισάγετε την εικόνα που επελέγη στο 3ο βήμα, βάζοντας μια σύντομη λεζάντα στη γλώσσα της Βικιπαίδειας. Ελέγξτε την θέση εμφάνισης της εικόνας στην "Προεπισκόπηση" και κάντε τις όποιες αναγκαίες αλλαγές. Τότε κάντε κλικ στο "Δημοσίευση αλλαγών".
Μπορείτε επίσης να συμμετάσχετε δημιουργώντας νέα λήμματα για ποιοτικές φωτογραφίες.
Please be mindful of the image syntax! If you are going to add images to the infoboxes in articles, the syntax is a lot easier — just the filename, so rather than [[File:Obamas at church on Inauguration Day 2013.jpg|thumb|The Obamas worship at [[African Methodist Episcopal Church]] in Washington, D.C., January 2013]]simplyObamas at church on Inauguration Day 2013.jpg.

Campaign rules
 Images must be used between 1st July to August 31st 2020. |
 There is no limit to the number of files one can use. There are, however, different categories of prizes (see below). However, do not deface Wikipedia articles with photos. Only add a photo to an article that has no photo. |
 The image must be published under a free use license or as public domain. The possible licenses are CC-BY-SA 4.0, CC-BY 4.0, CC0 1.0. |
 Participants must be a registered user on any Wikimedia project. Sign in or Create a new account on Wikipedia (You can create an account on any language Wikipedia, for use in your own WP and on all Wikimedia projects). The list of all languages of Wikipedia can be found here. |
 Poor or very low-quality photos are generally not acceptable.

 Participants must include the hashtag #WPWP in the Edit summary of all articles improved with images in addition to a descriptive edit summary, for example "Improving with an image to infobox" #WPWP. Do not insert the hashtag (#WPWP) into an article. |
