Friday, 3rd of August[edit]

We went to the human rights summit. There were some interesting people there that we could talk to and also take photos of. The event itself wasn't as well organized as in Madrid and because of the many speakers and the short session time there was no chance to explore the topics in details. Some of us went out dancing till very late at night.

Saturday, 4th of August[edit]

In the morning we ate together in our peaceful accommodation outside of Stockholm. We also made a banner for the LGBT user group to carry at the pride and put on our T-Shirts that we printed to wear in the pride. Houssem arrived late because his flight was delayed. However Sparrow waited for him and them we met up with the others. The pride was great. We marched and had a lot of fun there. Also took photos of the parade itself. Houssem had the chance to walk in this first pride. Some others as well. Aftwerwards we went to the pride park, watched a concert and then some people went out again to explore Stockholm. Some people had the chance to kiss a perseon with the same sex as theirs for the first time in public.

Sunday, 5th of August[edit]

We went to the Royal Armory where we could have the edit-a-thon at the Stone Gallery. It was a really beautiful place. In the first day we already wrote as many articles as we did the last time in Madrid in two days. We had a reflection round, where people talked in general about what they learned during their writing, what they wrote about or what they uploaded. Some people wrote about bisexuality as they promised to for their bisexual friend as there is discrimination against them in the lgbt community sometimes. Some people wrote about the critical pride and wondered whether having commercial prides like the one we had visited yesterday were not also good for the lgbt cause. Some people wrote about the homonationalism phenomenon that connects right wing groups to the lgbt community. Others were shocked by learning about sex change operations and looking at photos of them. They felt sorry for people that didn't feel comfortable in their body. But maybe also thought that it is good that they can change and live as they felt.

Monday, 6th of August[edit]

We edited for the second time. Overall we were able to write 80 articles. Houssem made a presentation about the situation in Tunesia. He talked about how some people get prison time for crimes related to homosexuality but overall few. He talked about how when events of the the LGBT community are done, the location is kept secret for the fear of attacks. He talked about how the UN tries to help change laws for example concerning anal examiniations. He talked about what different organizations try to help the lgbt community in Tunesia. DaddyCell made a presentation about lgbt history and anthropological issues related to the topic.

We had a last reflection round. Everyone thanked each other for their efforts. We want to have another event like this in Vienna in the summer of 2019. We were thinking about whether something like this could also be done in Tunesia in March 2018 but it would of course have to have a title like "human rights of minorities". Suggestions for improvements were also done. For example the accomodation was too far away and there should have been at least two bathrooms per 4 people. The next time logistics would have to be handled better. With no one of us actually living in Stockholm currently this was quiet difficult. Also people said, that participants who don't contribute much shouldn't be funded to take part. The following events should be for members of the community who have already worked a lot on projects. This somewhat goes against the idea of Wikipedia for Peace which was intended for recruiting new editors to some degree. But it would probably be best to focus on members from the community in the future and only include other people that at least fullfill some criteria and might have characteristic/ potential to become good editors at some point.--Sparrow (麻雀) 🐧 19:00, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
