How can I be involved?[edit]

There are several possibilities for involvement in the Wikispeech project. In the beginning, communication and support will be most important, but the more the project proceeds, the more possibilities there will be. The red links below will become blue when the time has come!

Ways to be involved (in time order)[edit]

  1. Give and show your support to Wikispeech. Read more!
  2. Take part in the evaluation of the beta function. Read more!
  3. Lead conversations and communications evaluating the beta function. Read more!
  4. Communicate to external partners about Wikispeech, either to inform or to involve. Read more!
  5. Join reference groups on Wikispeech, with discussions on how to improve, develop and spread Wikispeech. Read more!

Endorsement[edit]

  • More than a dozen of people gave their explicit support already when the project started back in 2016, as an important way of, as one supporter put it, making "Wikipedia accessible to more people".
  • A proposal for the Community Wishlist got more than 20 supporters, with a proposal that in practice is what Wikispeech would be achieving.
