Xowaran Aru Xankalpa is a one day session of Assamese Wikimedia Society which will be held on 27 April, 2025. We are undertaking a year-round mentoring program. Newcomers, who will attend the session, will be given online training for the coming year. The next session will be held on 27 April, 2026.

The First Day program, participants and potential-costs are as follows:

10:10 AM: Video Screening about Late Chandan Chiring Phukan.
10:25 AM: Speech by the owner of Book Nook.
10:35 AM: Self-introduction by the participants.
10:50 AM: Introduction to the Assamese Wikimedia. (Bhaskar Bhuyan)
11-00 AM: Creating an Account on Wikimedia
11:30 AM: Hand to Hand Training on Wiki-Uddhriti (Assamese Wiki-quote)
01:00 PM: lunch-time
02:00 PM: Inrtoduction of Assamese Wikisource
02:30 PM onward: Editing on Assamese Wikisource
04:00 PM: End of the session.

Yesterday, on 27th April, as mentioned in the program above, the organizers successfully conducted the workshop with 22 participants. At the begining of session, we offered our tribute to Late Wikimedian Chandan Chiring Phukan and than we started in-person training on Wikiquote And Wikisource with new-comers. Participants were provided breakfast and lunch on time. The Book Nook Library owner arranged vanue for us and the required chairs and tables for the event were brought for rent.
