Edit-a-thon invite[edit]

Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons[edit]

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

If you have any questions, please leave a message at Kevin Rutherford's talk page. You can unsubscribe from future notifications for Boston-area events by removing your name from this list.

Peer Review from Carolyn[edit]

The article does well in not being an orphan- it contains many links to other pages, further highlighting the article's notability. One change that I would suggest overall is the addition of visuals. As a reader who is not well versed in this topic and do not have much background information, it would have been beneficial to see images whether its slabs of a brain or whether it be the sensors used. I think the most important thing that the author could do to improve his contribution is to maybe expand and define the more scientific, complex terminology such as "perfusion maps"- this might be simply from my lack of knowledge, however. Using additional hyperlinks within the article would also be helpful.

One thing that is useful from this article that I gleaned is its concision. The article does not have extraneous words that are not warranted, but clearly and logically explains the topic.

Peer Review from Brian[edit]

One of the good things that this article does is using external links especially for the terms that I did not recognize and the general public may not. The article presents certain steps in the technique is a very detailed but concise way, which is very straight to the point. One of the improvements that I think is needed is more explanation or external links under the Physics section because it can be easy to get lost following the steps mentioned. In addition, it would be nice to have images of these imaging samples or the machine used for the imaging. On of my favorite parts of this article was when you externally linked the Atlas links; I thought that was cool and helpful. The safety region, I was not sure if you were going to add more or not, but I do think more needs to be added compared to what is there currently. Finally, it may be helpful to link research articles that are currently using this technology so that the readers may dive deeper into current news about this topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yangbr (talkcontribs) 07:29, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
