This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

Reason(s): ArtShannon made so many bad edits mixed with correct edits that he was blocked for three months. Yesterday, I discovered the new account HShannon, who did the same kind of bad edits. Remembering similar problem in the past, I found the account HCShannon, who was warned this summer. So there are at least three accounts with the same modus operandi (all of them warned, blocked or doing bad edits), but it's the first time one of this accounts contribute during a block. They weren't blocked straight out because we thought they were newbies making honest (if repeated) mistakes. If there is sockpuppetry, and it's in fact the same person warned regularly since months, then it's no newbie mistake anymore. --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 11:10, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Discussion: This request is done as system administrator, with the intent to process a password reset if the CU is positive.
Reason(s): This request is to check identity per wikitech:Password reset and wikitech:Password reset/Confirming identities. The user has a stable IP address static used on IRC since 10 Augustus 2014. As such, per If the user has a static IP, and a checkuser can verify that the user and the request come from the same IP., I'd so like to a checkuser to compare the three elements I gave. He is the only person with the interest to create the "Teotlalpan" page in all languages, we can compare his version in English with the one he made in Svensca on December 16th, as shows similarity. The page creation on December 12th, in German for the evasive IP is the same information too.
