In particular, importing files from Commons does not work! Import operates on the file description page, not the actual file itself, so you'll just end up with a broken file description page. And picking the wrong options in the form below is extremely likely to create a huge mess, break stuff in very visible ways, and be a massive pain to clean up after. Some kinds of fallout from a botched import are in practice impossible to fix, so we'll have to live with the result forever. |
If you're sure you know what you're doing, you can select a wiki and page title on that wiki to import. All imports from other wikis are logged at the import log. Pay close attention to the options chosen below and be sure you understand exactly what each does before importing anything. See Help:Importing for some guidance.
