[edit] Kannada Wikipedia event and Press Conference
The event happened on Sunday of April 2, 2006. There were talks, discussions introducing Kannada Wikipedia to an audience of nearly 200 in the fully crowded auditorium of Nayana, Kannada Bhavana, J C Road, Bangalore.
The event featured talks from litterateurs U R Ananthamurthy, Nagesh Hegde, and Professor G Venkatasubbaih. The event got good press coverage and helped spread the word around about Kannada Wikipedia.
