Blue dots are cultural heritage institutions that were already in Wikipedia in June 2019, yellow are new institutions added between June and February 2020- we have added as part of the project.

Avoir une vue d'ensemble des institutions du patrimoine culturel du monde est important pour les aider à gagner en visibilité grâce à leur protection. Dans de nombreuses catastrophes naturelles et causées par l'homme, les institutions du patrimoine culturel ont été endommagées, le manque d'informations de base (par exemple, leur emplacement) a rendu la réponse plus difficile. Ce projet contribuera à résoudre ce problème. Rendre ces informations visibles et explorables permettra à davantage de personnes d'en apprendre davantage sur le patrimoine culturel de nombreuses cultures différentes, cela créera de nouvelles perspectives et de nouvelles connaissances. Cadre : Défi d'édition de Wikidata ; ici pour encourager davantage de personnes à modifier les données sur les GLAM sur Wikidata, via un défi baptisé FindingGLAMs du 17 au 23 février 2020.
Les données mises à disposition seront structurées, interrogeables et sous licences ouvertes pour leur donner l'audience la plus large possible permettant aux utilisateurs de les explorer de multiples façons.
