Description

Palm nuts are boiled and then pounded in a wooden mortar. After the nuts are removed, the oily fibers are squeezed into a bowl to extract the dark orange oil.

In Kikongo: "mafuta ya ngasi"

mafuta = oil ya = of ngasi = palm kibuka = mortar kituta = pestle
