  • Since this looks more like they are painting than writing, this logo would be better for the Commons, which desperately needs a new logo. A microphone or newspaper might be better for the wikinews logo. Angela 05:01, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • I like this picture because it shows different people (or are these hands of only one person?) writing. But it should be more clearly that they are writing and not painting... --Nikolaus (from German wikipedia)
  • It would be good if the hands were of different skin tones. Not only would that emphasis the global nature of Wikinews, but it would make it apparent that it's two people, instead of one person writing with both hands. Perhaps they would be writing something, for example the word "News"? One hand could be finishing up a fancy "N", while the other is finishing the "s". Each letter might even be in a different style, to further emphasize that more than one person has worked on it. A somewhat thinner font (not as broad of strokes) would help make it clear that they are writing with pens, not painting. --Jacius 20:20, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Agreed on the skin tones; also it's almost a full blown illustration, more than anything. -- user:zanimum
  • I like the idea of two hands writing, but not trying to make the pens into the letter W.

no good[edit]

  • i dont really like this Logo, because it looks so old-fashioned and a little bit boring. I think a WikiNews-Logo should be very clear, simply and lively, so it transports our attitude. maybe more colours and a little lighter.
