Martin Barslev,
Artist. Born 12. 7. 1948, in Hvidbjerg, Thy, Denmark.
Educated locksmidt and IT-administrator. Freelance designer, architectstudent, portraitpainter. Martin Barslev began in 1982 to make his painting and drawing known for a greater public.
He has made about 70 exhibitions in denmark, USA and France. In contact with Artel, Artists Working Together, in USA, he has exhibited in Nebraska. From 1994 to 1997 he participated in 4 exhibitions on Galerie Art Present in Paris with drawings and paintings. He made arttravels to Paris to get the newest inspirations from study of art and talk to people. Barslev became mamber of an artjunction in Aalborg, Aalborg Kunstpavillon, and for some years, he participated in exhibitions, as a member of a group of artists called "Det Kunstneriske Råd", DKR. When he started as an artist in 1982, he exhibited neorealistic artworks. 10 years later he began painting neosurrealisme, about partly social norms, modern life and fashion, and partly birds and the nature, and life in the natures harmony.
