ESEAP Conference 2024 was the third regional conference for Wikimedia communities throughout the ESEAP region. ESEAP stands for East, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. The conference took place in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on 10–12 May 2024. The theme for the 2024 conference is Collaboration beyond the horizon.

배경

East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific is a developing region within the Wikimedia community. There is a significant number of Wikimedia contributors across the regions, and we have grown the community since our first meeting in 2018 and continue to work towards establishing a well-managed hub. This conference will bring participants from various ESEAP communities together to strengthen collaboration and better understand the issues faced in the region and to look for solutions.

우리의 마지막 ESEAP 지역 회의는 2022년 시드니에서 위키미디어 호주에서 개최되었으며, 2023년 8월 위키마니아 싱가포르에서 성공적인 ESEAP 전략 정상회담이 개최되었습니다. 우리는 ESEAP 지역 내에서 위키미디어 운동의 사람들을 연결하고 아이디어를 공유하고 지역 협력을 구축하는 것을 목표로합니다.
