1776 parodies

A parody of "Piddle, Twiddle, and Resolve" from the musical 1776, begun on IRC.

I do believe you've laid a curse on the en-cyclopedia
A curse that we now here rehearse in Wikipedia
A slashdot flood, a server breakdown
Plagues of trollers everywhere
Or a cataclysmic downtime
I'd accept with some despair
But, no, you sent us DNA.
Good God, sir, was that fair?
I say it with humility in Wikipedia
We're your responsibility in Wikipedia
If you don't want to see us hanging
From some far-off .com hill
If you don't want the voice of NPOV
Forever still
Then God, sir, get thee to it
For the ArbCom never will
You see, we piddle, twiddle, and revert
Not one damn thing ever works
Piddle, twiddle, and revert
Nothing ever works in
Foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy
Wikipedia!
They may sit here for years and years on Wikipedia.
These indecisive grenadiers of Wikipedia.
They can't agree on what is right and wrong
Or what is good or bad; I'm convinced
The only purpose this Wiki ever had
Was to gather here specifically
To drive its admins mad!
You see, we piddle, twiddle, and revert
Not one damn thing ever works
Piddle, twiddle, and resolve
Nothing ever works in
Foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy
Wikipedia!
