Alva's Wikipedia Student's Association/Events/Wikipedia Stall in Media Buzz 2020
Media Buzz-2020 is an International Conference organised by Department of Post Graduate and Under Graduate Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication of Alva's College. This International Conference will discuss on the role and scope of various modes of communications including print and electronic media, social media, television network etc, in the promotion of Climate Action in line with Sustainable Development goals set up by UN. Research studies on the role of media in Environment and Climate Change, Climate Action, Climate Resilience etc, will be presented.
In this Conference Alva's Wikipedia Student's Association will be putting a Wikipedia Stall to create awareness among the participants and also to get more people to contribute on Wikimedia Projects.

- To create awareness among College Students and Faculties during the International Conference.
- To attract more number of students as Wikipedians.

On 28 Febraury 2020 and 29 Febraury 2020 International Conference - Media Buzz was organized by Alva's Journalism Department . On that ocassion Wikipedia stall was set up in PG studies centre . Stall was arranged in a hall were the whole hall was decorated with Wiki specialities like Introduction to wikipedia collage of Alva's Wikipedia Student's Association Event list , Wiki students profile , One of the best wiki articles of each users and Alva's wiki achievements slides . Along with this India's first Newseum - Alva's Newseum's newspaper exhibition was also done which included newspapers of first edition and profile of Sreekar L.Bhandarkar the co-ordinator of Alva's Newseum was also included.The main aim of this event was to spread the news that even common users can edit in wikipedia and to attract more number of students to the association. This stall was specially arranged during International conference to get the exposure of the wikipedia community in global level. This event went very succesfull by receiving lot of compliments by the judges and was a new sort of exposure to AWSA.
