Question[edit]

Are you applying for the board because you think you can change something, or are you doing it out of anger? If you think the board is dominated by white westerners, how do you think you will achieve a fix to that, being that yourself? Swatjester 19:06, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea whether I can change anything, in fact I haven't really considered that I might have any chance of winning. It's more a principle thing. I criticise other people for not taking part in other kinds of elections when they have views on the issues, so I should put myself forward. Of course, it is not just the candidates for the board that are dominated by white westerners, but the whole encyclopedia user-base is skewed in the direction of the wealthiest, most confident part of the world. All we can do is make everyone aware of that fact, and constantly remind people that they have biases they are unaware of, and need to look at things from all sides. Can you explain this massive spamming? [1] [2] And why did you call SlimVirgin a "fuckwit"? [3]METS501 (talk) 20:35, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
