A2K Consultation with Gujarati and Assamese Wikisource Communities 2023-24 is happening between A2K and Gujarati and Assamese Wikisource communities. Transition Period and Start of CIS-A2K New Program Year

It was noted that the transition period is currently underway, and the new program year of CIS-A2K will begin next month. The team discussed the necessary preparations and adjustments needed for the new program year.

List of Authors and Tutorials

The team acknowledged the need to discuss the List of authors and provide an update on the status of tutorials. It was mentioned that Sushant would elaborate on the plan to bring Typed data during the next meeting. An update on the progress of updating the List of authors on Wikidata was also requested. The team discussed the availability of data on authors and books, including "Gujarati Sahitya Kosh" (two volumes with approximately 600 pages each) and "Gujarat ke Sarasvat." The price of the book "Gujarat ke Sarasvat" and the possibility of providing support for hard copies were points of consideration. The team mentioned the idea of tutorials, particularly an idea proposed by Sushant. Sushant's availability was noted for further discussion and explanation. A2K expressed willingness to provide small hardware support if possible. The focus on the 100% scan project on Wikisource was emphasized.

Regulatory and Finance Issues

An update on regulatory and finance issues pertaining to the CIS organization was discussed. It was noted that these issues were being addressed and steps were being taken to resolve them.

Upcoming Plans and Library Collaboration

The team discussed upcoming plans for the community. It was mentioned that a visit to a nearby library was planned to explore potential collaborations. The need to contact the library authority to discuss collaboration opportunities was highlighted. However, it was noted that the person with whom discussions were previously held has left the job. The team expressed the need for support for the library and explored the possibility of providing assistance.
