I am a data scientist with research experience in different fields (+ a PhD in Physics + postdoctoral experience).

This project developed from my interest in etymologies and a personal curiosity: I wanted to be able to visually explore etymologically related words. And then I thought: I can program, I can do interactive visualizations... maybe I just do it.

The data I will use for this project come from the English Wiktionary.I think that the collaborative and open source nature of the Wikimedia Foundation will greatly help to bring this project to life and in fact I want to thank all the help and encouragements I have so far received from many people and I am looking forward to interact and get feedback from more.
