Outcome

Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?

On 9 August 2018 in Sofia, with Vassia and Asen organized a meeting with real time Hangouts connection (announced on the Village Pump), at which we wanted to share more about Wikimania, and decide about future steps for the development of our community. Beside us, two more people attended: Iliev and ISla.

With the useful information from Wikimania, I learned other editors in Bulgaria that I saw later, as well as people with less experience. We talked about Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata.

Anything else

Meetings with people from different cultures were of great value to me. Very interesting were the lectures on rare languages and the opportunities that Wikipedia provided for their preservation.

Interesting fact

A very interesting meeting with a member of the Wikipedia mobile application team took place during Wikimania. This is Olga Vasileva, with whom we were born in the same town in Bulgaria - Septemvri. It has a population of less than 10,000 people, but we have not known each other before. This is an interesting example of the social role of this conference - to meet people from the same city of over 9,000 km of it.
