  • My project is to carry out a Wikimedia outreach and training in my local community to enlighten and gain volunteers who can devote time to work for Wikimedia.

Timeline of activities[edit]

  • One-week Wikimedia Outreach/training that will start on the 4th to 8th of July 2022.

  4. Recruit new Wikimedia volunteers

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

Organize a 3day Wikimedia Training than 2days for Editathons

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

1. I will get the participants' Whatsapp Phone Numbers
 2. Get the participants' E-mails
 3. Reach out personally to those that live close to me

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

1. I will provide an internet facility
 2. Provide Computer System for those that do not have a Computer system

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

1. I will create a Whatsapp group where we all will always be sharing ideas and information about Wikimedia and solving each other's difficulties.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This great Project is not a Profit project for me rather enlightens people to learn and acquire editing skills

What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).

1. I have human resources like the Instructor and those that will participate in the Wikimedia outreach and training program
  2. If I get funding that means the Wikimedia outreach and training program will be accomplished in my local community.

What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.

1. A venue for the outreach and training programs the cost of N10,000 for a day by 5days = N50,000
 2. Snacks at the cost of N500 for a person X 10 persons by 5days                         = N25,000
 3. Lunch at the cost of N1500 for a person X 10 persons by 5days                         = N75,000
 4. Prizes at N10,000 each for the best three editors                                     = N30,000
 5. Generator and fueling N5000 for a day by 5day                                         = N25,000
 6. Projector N10,000 for a day by 5days                                                  = N50,000
                                                                              TOTAL    = N255,000
