  • It will be a one day edit-a-thon considering the time frame of #1Lib1RefNG we will hold the program 28th June 2022

I will be doing one edit-a-thon considering the time frame of the programme.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Will be using the social media platforms, Whatsapp groups, Physical and online gathering, and flagging it on the Facebook page.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

Yes there are experienced wikimedia editors to anchor the programme

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Yes the participants have their laptops, the University also have laptops which we can hire for those that did not come with their laptops

Although the University also has internet connectivity there will be need to buy data which we will use as a backup incase the University network fails. 6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

During the programme I will collects contacts of new editors add it to the WhatsApp group. Through this platform participants we will be encourage to share their experiences. Those that have questions can also post it on the platform

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).

We have personal laptops, there are functional systems available at the Computer laboratories, the university internet is available and electricity power supply.

This project is organized by myself Ukwoma Scholar with the support of the lovers of Open Knowledge research group. Academic Staff of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library will be encouraged to participate in the 2022 #1Lib1RefNG. For a successful outcome of the project, I will handle the logistic responsibilities. Which include securing the hall, publicity and contacting other facilitators, I will, appoint the person that will handle the light refreshment. There is no support from any other source for this event

What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.

WE will need the following resources:

1. Venue 20,000.00 2. Data 20,000.00 3. Tea break (23 people made up of 20 academic staff, 1 technical assistance, I baby sitter and 1 cleaner) @ 600 naira each = 11,500.00 4. Diesel for standby- we will be needing 60 liters, cost of a liter is 680 naira, 60 liters will cost 40,800.00 5. Lunch for (23 people made up of 20 academic staff, 1 technical assistance, I baby sitter and 1 cleaner) at 1,800.00each = 41,400.00 6. Malt drink (1 crate) = 5000.00 7. Bottled Water 2pkts = 2800.00 8. Sachet water for children = 150 9. Mineral (for Children waiting for their mothers) 2800.00 10. Flex banner (for publicity) pieces 10,000.00 11. Customized exercise book to serve as souvenir @700 each = 14,000.00 12. Honorarium to baby sitter 8000.00 13. Honorarium to Cleaner - 6000.00 14. Honorarium to technical Assistance 15,000.00 15. Liquid soap 1000, Toilet tissue 600, disinfectant 400, and odour control 500,. for use in conveniences during the main editing event= 2500 Total = 198,150.00 naira
