  • This project is to introduce users of Opolo Global Innovation Hub, Osun State University to Wikipedia and its sisters projects. The Opolo Innovation Hub is a working space for students, freelancers, and tech enthusiasts in Osogbo, Osun State.

One day physical event

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

This project will be annouced on WUGN meta page and Whatsapp group page

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

We will inform people by sharing information about the event on WhatsApp groups and social media platforms.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Yes. The hub as well has equipemts that can be used by participants.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

A whatsapp group will be created for continuous engagement and feedbaks.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

No

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets:

  1. Number of events - 1
  2. Number of participants - 30
  3. Number of new editors - 25
  4. Number of of articles created or improved - 50
  5. Number of repeat participants (for projects that include a series of events)

Dashboard will be created for the event

User:Ogundele1 (Project Lead) - An experienced Wikipedian who have lead a number of events in my local community.

What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.

  • Space rental: N50,000
  • Internet subscription on router: N20,500
  • Food and drinks: N1500 x 30 = N45,000
  • Photography: N10,000
  • Hand Sanitizer: N3,000
  • Nose mask: N3,000
  • Branded Shirt for organizer and top 3 participants: N4000 x 4 = N16,000
  • Communication and Graphics (digital Banners and flyers): N11,500
  • Local transport for organizer: N5,000
  • Souvenir (Jotter and Pen) = N600 x 30 = N18,000
  • Miscellaneous: N10,000

Total: N192,000
