Requests for your report[edit]

Dear Dr. Blofeld,

Thank you for submitting this report. It is not fully complete, however, and I need you to finish it before I can approve it. Namely, please do the following:

  • In the summary section, provide a brief, bulleted summary of what you have accomplished to date. Many readers will only read the summary section, so think of this a big like the lead paragraph in a news article: it should be a brief, readable, high level summary.
  • Update your Finances tab, so that the "Actual funds spent" and "Difference" columns show how much of the grant funds you have used at this point.
  • You mentioned that you "think the prize fund will need to be rethought." Please use the "Request a budget change" button to make a request to update your planned budget if you need to make revisions.
  • Please do fill out the "what is working well" portion of the report. It does not matter that the project is complete. You can comment on the work you have completed so far.

Because I know you are in need of your next installment, this is all I will require for the Midpoint Report. Note, however, that your Final Report should include much better developed content than you have submitted here, with greater detail and specificity about both the process and outcomes of your work, as well as deeper analysis of what did and didn't work well and what lessons learned you would pass on to others.

The learning pattern link is a requirement. However, you are welcome to add it to your Final Report instead, in addition to the requirements of that report.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I'm pinging our Grants Administrator, in case she has any additional requests.

Warm regards,

@Mjohnson (WMF): Thank I've updated. The grant prize fund amount remains unchanged, it was just reworked into larger lots by continent and occuption. I did email you a few months ago on that to ask if it was OK. The contest has so far produced over 2300 articles and women bios from every country globally. The mechanism works and very well at that. As the toolkit will be made next month and at the time of the midpoint review the contest hadn't even begun, obviously a greater detailed report will be submitted in the Final Report once both are completed. Waiting until November I think has worked well. I hope I can get the contestants their prizes well in time for Christmas. Thanks.Dr. Blofeld (talk) 19:36, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Report accepted[edit]

Dr. Blofeld, thanks for making these changes. I am accepting your report now. I would love to set up a time to check in with you over the phone about your project. I will plan to reach out next week to set something up!

OurGrants Administrator will be in touch about next steps.

Warm regards,

I would really appreciate that Mjohnson (WMF). I will sort out the toolkit over the next month and hopefully it will be used as a basis for the next contest in the spring perhaps. If I don't speak to you by Christmas have good one!.:-) Dr. Blofeld (talk) 10:10, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
