Eligibility[edit]

Since WMES has submitted its midpoint report on time and no other issues have affected their eligibility status, they are eligible for renewal of their current 6-month grant. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 20:06, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Spending[edit]

Hello, dear WMES colleagues! It's good to see this renewal come in. We note that you had spent 11,618 EUR of 33,135 EUR budgeted at the midpoint of your current 6-month funding period, which is quite a bit less than half. I think it would be helpful to clarify whether or not you expect to fully spend your grant by the end of the current funding period. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 20:08, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Some people did not upload or send the invoices yet, so we could not present the total amount spent at that moment. For example, the part of Wikimedia movement (Wikimania) or Wiki Loves X will be spend at the end of the first semester. I think that we'll spend more or less the amount of the grant. Maybe a bit less. --Millars (talk) 23:06, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi Millars, from the report it also looks like there was underspending on staff costs. Was there a delay in filling staff position or time off? Do you have the staffing position filled now? Do anticipate using the funding allocated for staff in this next period?Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 20:46, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
It could be a small deviation on that, but not much. I think that that was one of the best well calculated item on the budget. @FloNight: --Millars (talk) 20:11, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 15:01, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Committee Review Result[edit]

The Simple APG Committee has reviewed this request for a renewal of the next six months of Wikimedia Espana's 2016 grant for July - December 2016 and the midpoint report for the current grant, and supports full funding in the amount of 27,404 Euro.--AddisWang (talk) 07:57, 3 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much AddisWang. --Millars (talk) 20:09, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Some changes...[edit]

Hello. When we have received the documentation I see that the amount granted is not the same as appears in the table for second semester. Maybe it is because the first table (annual) was not updated (I think it was), while the third table, that shows the amount for second semester, was, and now I have updated all of them. You can see the changes in this edition. The total change is 485 EUR more than the amount we planned in november/december, but that's because at that moment we don't know how many activities we plan to do in the second semester and neither the cost of organizing some activities. Then, as I don't know if you revised the updated table or the outdated one, please, be sure the grant amount is right and it is approved. Thanks, and I'm very sorry for that. Please check that. @Wolliff (WMF):, @AddisWang:, @FloNight: --Millars (talk) 18:51, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Millars. We will address this point in the WMF decision. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 20:56, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

WMF decision[edit]

Decision from WMF
Funding decision:

Thank you, Wikimedia Espana, for your work on the H2 application. According to the committee's decision to offer you full funding for your H2 work, WMF will approve a grant in the amount of EUR 27,889 (equal to the amount of EUR 27,404 approved by the committee plus the 485 EUR left out of the budget table). Note that any unspent funds from the current semester will need to be returned to the Wikimedia Foundation if not spent by the end of your current grant. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 14:55, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! --Millars (talk) 15:23, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Wolliff: Thanks! I'll not be at home since Sunday, so, I know it is a short time, but in case you need any signed document by me, please, send me them now or maybe other option is that I can sign them in Esino Lario. What do you thing about it? --Millars (talk) 15:25, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Extension granted for midpoint report, until 21 October[edit]

Hello, WMES colleagues! We have granted an extension of the due date of the midpoint report from 15 October, to 21 October, in order to give you some time to compile some additional data about your programs. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 16:35, 17 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

H2 Spending[edit]

Hello

The total amount of spent funds is 29,734.01 EUR, so 1,490.07 EUR less than expected. The APG covered 27,889 EUR (the total amount of received funds) and the rest was covered with WMES income from donations and membership fees, amounting to 1984.98 EUR. About the remaining funds from the first semester (2,872.79 EUR), we spent 1,993.52 EUR, so we still have 879.27 that we could use for sending the Monuments of Spain Challenge prizes, as we talked. Best. --Rubén Ojeda (WMES) (talk) 17:22, 1 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
