The Wikimedia User Group Nigeria community support fund committee has further reviewed your application, and while the idea is excellent, they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

• Customised shirts are not important especially if they’re going to people who we aren't sure would be members of the club
• Since this is already an existing club, why is there a fund for banners? Doesn’t the club already have a banner?
• Please justify the 40,000 NGN for transportation
• 3,000NGN for feeding should be reduced
• Please explain the resource person welfare. Are these resource persons not volunteer members of the community?

Dear Ashioma (WUGN)

1) The banner is specifically for the 1Lib 1Ref event and it's needed to foster publicity because this event is a maiden edition in the main campus (LASU Ojo) and the event is meant to launch the merging of the fan clubs in both Ojo and Epe Campus. Lagos State University(LASU) has three different campuses, Ojo campus is the main campus with all faculties apart from Agric and Engineering faculty in Epe campus where the fan club is primarily based and College of medicine in Ikeja. Since we have faculties like School of Communication, Social sciences, Arts which can contribute meaning fully to Wikimedia contents because it's their field, we decided to host a program in Ojo to take WikiClub LASU to the main campus, kindly note that we have wikimedians already in Ojo campus too to bring about a collaborative effort. The club has a plane roll up banner which will be placed in the hall during the event, the ILib 1Ref banner will be placed at the gate of the campus before the day of the event and at the entrance of the hall during the event.

2) We plan on transporting selected numbers of wikimedians from LASU Epe to Ojo to and fro for the event. The distance between LASU Epe and LASU Ojo is over 100 km, hence the 40, 000 NGN also putting to consideration the current fuel situation in the country.

3) Reduction of 3,000 NGN is noted.

4)The resource person welfare is basically to cover their transportation to and fro. The resource persons are alumnis of the club.

5)The customized Tees are going to stand has incentives for those that come early, it helps to give new members a sense of belonging and helps with post-publicity. We have arrangments to help recruit new members after the event. Jesugbog0 (talk) 19:56, 31 May 2023 (UTC)

Final adjustments

Hello Jesugbog0 and FantasticJ, we already came to a conclusion on the funding due to your delayed response, yet we acknowledge your points and have adjusted our initial recommendation due to the recent comments from you.

While you stated that the welfare is for the resource persons who are alumni of the club, I can only see two other facilitators apart from the project lead. That being noticed, we can make provision for only two resource persons. The adjusted budget has the following changes:

• banner - 15,000
• customised shirts and souvenirs - 50,000
• refreshment - 50,000 (2,000 x 25)
• resource person transport - 20,000 (10,000 x 2)

This puts the new budget at 247,000 NGN
