Jean-Baptiste Soufron was the Lead Legal Coordinator for the Wikimedia Foundation. He was appointed to this official position in June 2004. He was replaced by Brad Patrick, who resigned in March 2007.
The Lead Legal Coordinator is the first point of contact between the Board and the legal department. The responsibilities for this position include dealing with legal-related queries that need to be kept confidential, advising the board and the community on legal issues, and moderating the Juriwiki mailing list.
