This page is to coordinate and keep track of which Wikimedia projects have completed the transition on their GFDL 1.2-only files. The objective is to encourage uploaders to switch to GFDL 1.3/CC-BY-SA 3.0 (or both).

The following table illustrates whether any discussions or action plans are underway to deal with any GFDL 1.2-only files.

Arabic Wikipedia	Not OK	Template states GFDL 1.2-only.
Chinese Wikipedia	OK	All GFDL files are available under 1.2 or "any later version", license migration in progress. (see template)
English Wikipedia	OK	Files under GFDL 1.2-only are deprecated since April 14, 2009.
German Wikipedia	OK	Files under GFDL 1.2-only are disallowed since December 9, 2008. (see poll)
Japanese Wikipedia	OK	All GFDL files are available under 1.2 or "any later version". (see template)
Russian Wikipedia	OK	All GFDL files are available under 1.2 or "any later version". (see template)
Vietnamese Wikipedia	Possible	No longer using GFDL 1.2-only since 2005, but some images are currently still using it. No discussions on what to deal with these images. (see template)
Wikimedia Commons	Possible	Discussions are underway.
Wikisource	Possible	Most projects do not state which version of GFDL they are using.
Wikinews	OK	Most images are CC-BY.
