Edit translation request[edit]

I would like the following message to be edited as follows, because it is uncomfortable as Japanese.

"transclusions": "参照読み込みを" to "transclusions": "リンク元""transclusions": "参照読み込み" --Misato Kano (talk) 21:18, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Transclusions are not リンク元. I suggest simply removing "を". Nardog (talk) 08:34, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was only looking at WhatLinksHere, but I see that it has an option to hide links and redirects, so I guess wo should just remove the "を" as Nardog said. --Misato Kano (talk) 08:45, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add translation to "Transclude count" request[edit]

I would like to add the following message to translate.
"transclusion-count": "被リンク数","transclusion-count": "参照読み込み数", Misato Kano (talk) 21:18, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest "参照読み込み数" for the same reason as above. Nardog (talk) 08:35, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that "参照読み込み数" is a more literal translation.
However, the number of non-transclusion links is also displayed in the links section, so I would like to display this menu in the non-template namespace as well as in the "被リンク" anyway. Perhaps this should be suggested elsewhere.

Well, it looks like Link Count was instated as a substitute for a defunct tranclusion count tool, hence it only shows up for certain namespaces. So as long as it says "Transclusion count", it isn't really appropriate to translate it as though it's about the link count, since it may one day be used for an actual tranclusion count tool. I'll submit a pull request to address these. Nardog (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The pull request has been merged and deployed, so add "link-count": "被リンク数", instead. Nardog (talk) 23:48, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
